Families of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks criticized former President Donald Trump and big-name golfers teeing up for the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series.

Accusing Saudi Arabia of complicity in the attacks, family members argued Trump and others turned their backs on the United States in exchange for “blood money” during a scathing new ad released ahead of the LIV event at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster.

TRUMP DOWNPLAYS LIV UPROAR: ‘I DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE 9/11 FAMILIES’

“FBI files show the Saudi government was involved. This golf tournament is taking place 50 miles from ground zero. It’s disgusting. Worse than a slap in the face. You’re taking money from an evil regime,” a collage of voices from family members declared in the ad.

“These are 3,000 Americans that were killed on American soil. How much money to turn your back on your own country. ‘$200 million? Sure, I’ll forget about the atrocities,'” they added. “I’m never going to forget, never going to forgive the golfers for taking this blood money.”

The ad, titled “Never Forgive,” was compiled by 9/11 Justice, a coalition of family members of 9/11 victims and survivors, which has been crusading against the LIV tournament due to its ties to Saudi Arabia. The group has been joined by others such as 9/11 Families United and others in railing against the upcoming LIV event in Bedminster, located nearly 50 miles from ground zero.

“Never Forgive” will air across New York City and Bedminster and on Fox News ahead of the LIV event, according to 9/11 Justice.

Trump has shrugged off much of the criticism of LIV, pleading ignorance to some of the grumblings from 9/11 families.

“I don’t know much about the 9/11 families, I don’t know what is the relationship to this and their very strong feelings, and I can understand their feelings,” he told the Wall Street Journal. “I can’t really comment on that because I don’t know exactly what they’re saying and what they’re saying, who did what.”

Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were Saudis, and there have been links between some Saudi officials, such as Omar al Bayoumi, believed to have been a former Saudi intelligence officer, and some of the hijackers.

The former president has been unyielding in his commitment to host LIV, which is slated to take place at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster from July 29 to July 31. Trump will also host a second LIV event at Trump National Dural in Miami from Oct. 27 to Oct. 30.

LIV is an upstart challenger to the PGA Tour and has been bankrolled in part by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund with an estimated $2 billion in funding. It has been tapping into its vast cash flow to peel off prominent golfers from PGA.
