The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will have a hearing on Wednesday morning to hold four of the country’s most powerful mayors “publicly accountable” for their “sanctuary city” policies.
The hearing is set to start at 10:00 a.m. in Washington, D.C., as lawmakers question Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, and New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

The committee’s chairman, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), has accused the mayors of upholding sanctuary city policies that “shield criminal aliens from federal immigration enforcement and endanger public safety.”
