Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pushed back after her and her husband former President Bill Clinton’s names resurfaced in documents tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his former girlfriend and accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.
In a BBC interview, she said the couple has “no links” to Epstein or Maxwell and stressed that being mentioned in government files doesn’t imply wrongdoing. Hillary reiterated that Bill’s travel on Epstein’s jet was for charity work and that she herself met Maxwell “on a few occasions,” noting that thousands of public figures appear in similar records.
“We have a very clear record that we’ve been willing to talk about … I don’t recall ever meeting him,” Hillary said to the BBC.

The Department of Justice’s release of Epstein-related materials — including flight logs and photos showing high-profile Bill Clinton — has sparked renewed scrutiny but have not shown evidence of illegal conduct by the Clintons.
Hillary emphasized that the focus should remain on Epstein and Maxwell’s crimes, saying, “They are accused, and in both cases, were convicted of horrific crimes against girls and women. That should be the focus.”

She added that she and her husband are “more than happy to say what we know, which is very limited and totally unrelated to their behavior or their crimes.”
Both Clintons are scheduled to testify before Congress, with Hillary scheduled for Feb. 26 and Bill on Feb. 27, as part of the inquiry. The testimonies will come after they both declined to appear before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee earlier this year.
