A New York state appeals court will hear arguments Tuesday afternoon on President-elect Donald Trump’s request to dismiss his conviction in the hush money case.
Trump’s legal team is urging the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court to throw out the case entirely, citing presidential immunity and the potential impact on his ability to govern ahead of his Jan. 20 inauguration. The court will hear argument on Trump’s petition to halt his Jan. 10 sentencing at 12:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday, according to a court officer.
