Grocery retailer Kroger will pay for travel expenses associated with having an abortion.

A representative for the grocer told a local Cincinnati outlet, “On June 14, we communicated directly to plan participants to provide them with clarity so they can make health care decisions that are right for them.”

The spokesperson explained that employees at the stores can reportedly receive up to $4,000 in coverage for healthcare and travel for reproductive services, which includes abortion.

In response to the recent draft opinion leak and subsequent ruling, employees have been asking about their coverage, according to the spokesperson.

Kroger is not alone in covering abortion services. Companies such as Microsoft, Meta, Apple, Yelp, Disney, Uber, Netflix, Bumble, Comcast-NBC Universal, Warner Bros Discovery, Conde Nast, JPMorgan Chase, Nike, and an evergrowing number of others are funding assistance for abortion in some capacity.

On The View on Monday, the hosts applauded parent company Disney for its decision to assist employees in obtaining abortions.

“I couldn’t be prouder,” Whoopi Goldberg said.
