Philadelphia police have made at least a dozen carjacking arrests in the last week.
Police said their strategic tactics are leading to the arrests, many of which are of teenagers and young adults with illegal guns.

On Feb. 11, Philadelphia police caught two suspects, Jamie Maneely, 21, and Cameron Styles, 20, who were connected to multiple carjackings that spanned a two-day period.
“Officers recovered a 9mm ghost gun, or privately made firearm,” Naish said.
Police also identified Maneely as a suspect in a Feb. 10 commercial robbery at a local gas station.

Philadelphia police said they are hoping the string of recent arrests will deter others from future carjackings.
