Djokovic recently withdrew from the Cincinnati Masters because he has not received a coronavirus vaccine. Being unvaccinated also prevented him from competing in the Australian Open earlier this year.
He was able to compete at the All England Club and was this year’s men’s winner at Wimbledon.

Djokovic has said the reason for not getting vaccinated is simply his preference.
“The principles of decision-making on my body are more important than any title or anything else,” he said. “I’m trying to be in tune with my body as much as I possibly can.”
