A Democratic senator was stumped this week when asked to name some of Hillary Clinton’s accomplishments, and said she’d have to have her staff check Google.

“Golly, I forget what bills she’s been part of or authored,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle. “But she’s been a good senator. There are things outside of bills that you can do, and I know that she’s done them for her state.”
Feinstein, who entered the Senate in 1993, served with Clinton in the chamber for six years. “I should have a list,” she said before turning to an aide and suggesting, “Get on Google.”
But Feinstein said her forgetfulness was not Clinton’s fault. “She was never there long enough to achieve the degree of seniority that affords her the ability to do more,” she clarified. She added that it can take at least a couple of terms, or twelve years, before a senator can learn how to accomplish much.
Feinstein nonetheless offered a ringing endorsement of Clinton, saying that she understood world politics at an “unprecedented” level, and that it would be good to have a female president.
“[Clinton] has been able to know and understand world leaders on an unprecedented basis. She will know more of the leadership of the world than anyone who has ever been elected to the presidency. She will know whom to go, and that is important,” Feinstein said.

“I do believe she is a role model for women in this area,” she concluded. “And the opportunity to have the first woman president — it may never be there again, I don’t know, but it’s there now. I think of all the nominees, she is the most skilled.”
