Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) is citing his business acumen as reason to be elected as Senate Majority Leader.
With the Republican Party gaining the majority in the Senate and White House, the leader to replace Sen. Mitch McConnell will wield a lot of influence over the legislation passed. Scott is currently facing off against Sens. John Thune (R-SD) and John Cornyn (R-TX) to be McConnell’s successor.
