The deal to end the shutdown includes a continuing resolution to fund the government through Jan. 30, 2026, and three annual appropriations bills.
The eight Democrats conceded on their hopes of ushering in an extension of the Obamacare subsidies to the funding deal. Instead, they settled on a promise for a December vote on the subsidies and for a reversal of the Trump administration’s shutdown layoffs.
