‘Twas the Week before Christmas

The boss claims that this was slipped under his hotel room door in New York late last night:

‘Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the House

(And Senate), the appropriators were stirring, each quiet as a mouse.

The earmarks were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that the public wouldn’t notice they were there.
