“You are violating my rights right now. You are remiss,” Bossi told police as she was arrested and escorted out of the building.
“Come on, Sgt. Porter. You know this is wrong what they’re doing to our kids,” another man shouted.
Bossi, who was reportedly arrested for disorderly conduct, was attempting to attend a meeting that planned to discuss mask-wearing in schools, but the meeting was canceled after she showed up, and it was rescheduled remotely.
Bossi is a Sunday school teacher, and her students, who were reportedly in attendance, cried as she was escorted out.
Several people were in attendance with the goal of expressing their displeasure with the mask mandate being imposed on their children.
“Kids are going to be going to the prom in two days. It would be nice to have them be able to enjoy it without a mask. You know? They all got screwed last year,” one school board member said.

Government-mandated face masks implemented in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus have become a contentious issue in the United States, and several states have eliminated mask mandates, while other states still require them.
Earlier this month, a 10-year-old boy in Florida went viral after questioning the need for children to wear masks at a school board meeting, and a mother in Georgia recently went viral after she begged school officials to end the face mask requirement for children in schools.
