A documentary filmmaker who had access to Donald Trump in the days following the 2020 election is expected to cooperate with prosecutors in Fulton County, Georgia, who are investigating the former president’s efforts to overturn the state’s election results, according to a report.
Alex Holder has been contacted by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office regarding his possible cooperation after being subpoenaed for his testimony and any raw footage, a source familiar with the situation told CNN. Fulton County officials are seeking video footage Holder has of Trump, particularly any comments he made about Gov. Brian Kemp (R) and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, both of whom refused the former president’s efforts to overturn election results in the state.
GEORGIA GOVERNOR SET TO TESTIFY IN FULTON COUNTY INVESTIGATION OF TRUMP
“Our client will comply with any lawful subpoena from the Department of Justice or any other law enforcement agency,” said Russell Smith, a lawyer representing Holder.
Trump had been angry with Kemp and Raffensperger after the election was called in President Joe Biden’s favor, Holder said, and he referred to them as “stupid” for not helping him overturn the results.
“He goes, ‘The reason why it’s not happening is because the officials in Georgia were not brave enough to listen to him,'” Holder said. “He said, ‘They’re stupid people.’”

Holder has also testified before the House Jan. 6 committee investigating Trump’s efforts to overturn the election, speaking with lawmakers in a closed-door meeting on Thursday. The committee issued a subpoena and also received Holder’s video footage, which will be released later this summer in a three-part series titled Unprecedented.
The Fulton County investigation centers on a call Trump made to Raffensperger after the election asking him to “find” 11,780 votes to flip the state in his favor. Trump has maintained it was a “perfect call” and that he did nothing wrong. Prosecutors are also investigating the resignation of the U.S. attorney in Atlanta on Jan. 4, 2021, heavily disputed claims former Trump personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani made before the Georgia Senate about the election, and a call between Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Raffensperger.
