Former Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones, who is challenging Gov. Brian Kemp for the state’s top job next year, vowed to pursue an audit of the 2020 election if elected to the role.

The pro-Trump former Democrat’s proposition, which comes more than six months after the November contest, would blow wide open Republican efforts to investigate claims of fraud that have been rejected by election officials, including in Georgia, and have seen little success in court.
