Republican governors dominate a new survey of the most popular top 25 in the United States, including a handful considering a 2024 GOP presidential bid or in the vice presidential rumor mill.

The Morning Consult list shows 16 Republicans in the top 25 governors with the highest approval ratings, including seven of the top 10.

A handful of the top governors are also in the 2024 Republican mix, including Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA), Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD), and Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR).

Youngkin has headlined that list for months, especially as GOP voters look for an alternative to those challenging front-runner Donald Trump, the former president.

In the survey, Youngkin reached his highest Morning Consult approval rating, at 57%. Since his surprising defeat over former Gov. Terry McAuliffe, Youngkin has been on a steady approval rating rise.
