Just 1 of 31 Bloomberg News watch groups confident in economy

Only one of 31 key demographic groups Bloomberg News charts to gauge the public’s mood has confidence in the economy, and they are wealthy enough to tough-out the prolonged economic storm.

According to Bloomberg’s weekly U.S. Consumer Comfort Index, only those who earn $100,000 or more are optimistic about the economy. The least confident are at the other end of the economic scale, those who earn $15,000 or less.

The statistics were put together in a grim graphic by the Business Insider, and shows a 70 percent consumer confidence gap between the rich and the poor.
