President-elect Trump and his Presidential Inaugural Committee are sending a strong message of support to police, border patrol agents, veterans and the beleaguered Boy Scouts by featuring them in the planned 8,000-person Inaugural Parade on January 20.
The committee Friday released the names of the groups who have initially accepted invitations to appear in the parade.
According to the committee, the Border Patrol will get two slots, one for agents and another for the U.S. Border Patrol Pipes and Drums.

Several veteran groups, including current military and those helping wounded warriors, are also appearing, as are police such as NYPD Emerald Society Pipes & Drums and the Michigan Multi-Jurisdictional Mounted Police Drill Team & Color Guard.
And the Boy Scouts, which has been divided over gay scouts, will be included. Rex Tillerson, President-elect Trump’s pick to be secretary of State, is an Eagle Scout.
“People from every corner of the country have expressed great interest in President-elect Trump’s inauguration and look forward to continuing a salute to our republic that spans more than two centuries,” said PIC CEO Sara Armstrong.
