This week’s Liberal Media Scream features MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski declaring the Trump presidency over, and that was before the Washington Post began writing on editor Bob Woodward’s critical look at the president in “Fear.”
She was reacting to President Trump staying away from the funeral for the late Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. “For me, I kind of move on knowing, this presidency, in many ways is over. And we’re just getting through it, and goodness will prevail,” she said.
Twenty minutes later she compared the late singer Aretha Franklin to McCain and then to Trump: “Queen of soul versus the soul of America versus some sophomoric joke that pretends to be president. We got to cover it, but it’s over.”
Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains our weekly pick: “Five months ago the New Yorker magazine ran an article titled, ‘Michael Cohen and the End Stage of the Trump Presidency. That story, like Brzezinski today, was based on hope, and disdain for President Trump, over any real journalism.”
Rating: Four out of five screams.
