Redskins owner’s wife donated to Dem Warner, who hasn’t endorsed team name

Interception!

A day after Virginia Republican Senate candidate Ed Gillespie grabbed for the Washington Redskins fan vote in an ad promising to leave the team name alone, it was revealed that the wife of the team owner is already on board Democratic Sen. Mark Warner’s side.

And Warner hasn’t even endorsed the team name.

Popular Washington Post columnist Dan Steinberg was passed proof that Tanya Snyder gave a chunk of money to Warner in December.

“This could complicate Gillespie’s status as the Redskins Candidate,” he tweeted.

The Potomac, Md. “homemaker” doesn’t seem to have a political compass when it comes to donating. She’s given to Democrats and Republicans, even former Republican Sen. George Allen. But his dad once coached the Redskins.
