TV’s ‘Superman’ to star as detective in movie about abortionist Gosnell

In a symbolic decision, actor Dean Cain, who played Superman in the TV series “Lois & Clark, The New Adventures of Superman,” has been cast to play the detective who uncovered horrific Philadelphia late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell.

Producer Phelim McAleer also told Secrets that he has cast long-time actor Earl Billings to play Gosnell, convicted in May 2013 for operating an abortion clinic that killed three infants, repeatedly violating the state’s 24-hour informed consent law and conducting illegal late term abortions.

He has been dubbed the nation’s worst mass murderer.

His murder trial was largely ignored by the mainstream media until conservatives and anti-abortion activists started to protest.

The seed funding for the movie — $2.3 million — came from a campaign on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo. At the time it was the most successful film campaign ever on the platform. The filmmakers continue taking donations for the film.

Cain, also known for the movies Out of Time and Vendetta, will play detective James Wood, who investigated Gosnell.

Filming has already begun in Oklahoma City.

McAleer said, “We are just so happy to have all these skilled actors. We have just started filming and it is incredible watching them bring these characters to life. We have been very careful to keep the script close to actual events so it’s amazing to hear and see these talented actors bring to life this incredible story. Even us who know the case so well have wept when we hear and see the story being told.”
