Most say it really is ‘Bidenflation’

The White House has tried to blame everything and everyone but the occupant of the Oval Office for the inflation that is choking family budgets, but voters feel they know who to blame in the crisis: President Joe Biden.

In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, 64% of likely voters said that the president’s policies have caused the 40-year high rate of inflation. Just 8% said his actions have cut inflation, and 25% haven’t seen a difference.

Even Democrats, by a 42%-13% margin, said White House policies have increased inflation compared to reducing it.

Getting the blame is bad, but what voters plan to do may be worse for Biden and his Democratic allies on Capitol Hill.

Rasmussen also asked how important the surging inflation will be when people vote in the fall congressional midterm elections. Some 87% said it will be important, with a whopping 67% choosing “very important,” an ominous sign for the Democrats who hold control of Congress by a hair.

Republicans were nearly unanimous, at 96%, on that question. But 82% of Democrats also said inflation will be important in the fall vote.

Rasmussen’s analysis added, “Majorities of every racial category — 67% of whites, 50% of black voters and 64% of other minorities — think the Biden administration’s policies have increased inflation. Eighty-eight percent (88%) of whites, 83% of black voters and 87% of other minorities believe the issue of inflation will be at least somewhat important in the November midterm elections.”
