Hitler cocaine papers: Afraid of becoming an addict

Adolf Hitler hated wine and beer but was such a fan of the high that cocaine gave him that he feared of becoming an addict, according to historical Nazi documents revealed to Secrets that are set for public auction next week.

In the latest translations for Secrets from the diaries of Hitler doctor Erwin Giesing, the mass killer is quoted thanking the physician for cocaine nasal washes needed to clear his head and lessen the swelling in his nose.

“After your cocaine treatment I feel 100 percent better,” is how Giesing quoted Hitler in his papers. “Hopefully you don’t make me a cocaine addict Herr Doctor.”

The papers are part of a huge Nazi and Hitler cache being auctioned by Alexander Historical Auctions May 8-9. Secrets revealed the contents of other Hitler papers Thursday. (See Docs reveal Hitler farted, received sex injections, craved cocaine.)

Alexander President Bill Panagopulos had parts of Giesing’s notes translated for Secrets. Giesing wrote that Hitler “mentioned that after the treatment with the cocaine his head feels lighter and he could think clearly…the effect would last 4-6 hours.”

While the German madman wanted more, “I told Hitler that this treatment could be done for a short duration, but that there is a danger of overdosing,” write Giesing.

Hitler followed the advice, though bragged on the cocaine when he got it, telling Giesing, “My head is clearing up again and the pressure is almost gone. The cocaine is a wonderful thing.”

Other Hitler quotes in Giesing’s diaries include:

— “I am not the product of incest and degeneration.”
— “I don’t know what people like about wine, it is too sour, I would like to add sugar.”
— “Beer is too bitter.”
— “One reason for the decline of the American Indians and their infertility is the use of nicotine…and the firewater from whites.”
