LIV cheered, ‘MTG for VP’

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was greeted with cheers of “MTG for VP” during her appearance with former President Donald Trump at the past weekend’s LIV Golf Tournament at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

The conservative pro-Trump lawmaker said she was honored by the cheers and is open to being the former president’s running mate in the likelihood he runs again in 2024.

“I was amazed,” she told Secrets about the cheers. Photos showed her rubbing elbows with the president and his sons Donald Jr. and Eric during the tournament.

Trump allies have suggested that Greene is on the former president’s short list of potential vice presidential picks.

Greene has never shied away from supporting Trump and believes he was robbed in the 2020 election.

She told Secrets she is “confident” that Trump will run again. Polls show him leading Biden. Today’s Rasmussen Reports survey has Trump up over Biden by 6 points, a margin he has held for months.

“I’m not shy or hesitant about saying I believe he won the election in 2020. I totally believed it was rigged. I believe it was stolen. I objected on Jan. 6, and I would have objected again today and tomorrow if I could. And I think I can confidently say he’ll win a third presidential election in 2024,” she said in an interview.

“He is the leader of the Republican Party, no matter what anyone says, he flat-out is,” she added.

Greene said that the LIV tournament, which is Saudi-backed and competes with the PGA, was a much different affair than traditional golf tournaments.

“It was fantastic,” Greene told us.

“The LIV tournament was so fun. There was music playing all over the golf course. People were having an absolute blast. It wasn’t the stiff, uptight, you know, kind of snobby-type atmosphere at the PGA tournament,” she said, adding, “It was just flat-out fun.”
