In a new Rasmussen Reports survey that reveals the depth of post-election partisanship, slightly more than half of all voters view President-elect Joe Biden as their president.
In the poll, when asked, “Is President-elect Biden your president?” 56% said yes, 34% no, and 10% were not sure.
The numbers for Biden were even worse when voters were asked about their friends and family.
Asked, “Do they consider President-elect Biden their president?” 52% said yes, 23% no, and 16% were not sure.
So, who isn’t on board the Biden Express?
According to Rasmussen, they are overwhelmingly Republican. Some 61% said no, and it was 70% of those who strongly approve of President Trump.
“Many anti-Trumpers insisted throughout President Trump’s four years in office that he was not their president, and a surprisingly high number of voters feel the same way about President-elect Biden,” said the analysis.
