Bookies push Bloomberg to third, Bernie Sanders jumps to first

All of Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg’s spending is getting him noticed just in time for the official start of the 2020 primary season, pushing him to third in the latest betting odds.

The media mogul and former New York City mayor’s odds to win the nomination are 11/2, behind Sen. Bernie Sanders, at 2/1, and Joe Biden, at 9/4. He is tied with Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

“Bloomberg continues to surge in the betting markets even though he’s yet to appear in a Democratic debate,” says US-Bookies betting industry analyst Alex Donohue. “However, he will have an audience after the debate, as he’s booked for an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

When it comes to the final vote, President Trump still leads, at 4/5, followed by Biden and Sanders at 5/1. Bloomberg’s odds to win it all shortened from 18/1 to 12/1 in the latest line.
