Joe Biden, the sixth oldest vice president in American history, turns 73 Friday and the Democratic Party is encouraging donations of $10 or more to help cement his legacy.
In a series of emails, supporters are asked to sign his online birthday card. Once they do, the following message pops up:
“Thanks for signing our card for Vice President Biden’s birthday. Now, help make sure Democrats are ready to continue his legacy.
“Chip in $10 or more to pre-order your Official 2016 Democratic Membership Card today.”
The DNC also followed up with an email that read:
Thanks for signing our birthday card for Vice President Biden.
You’re one of our most active supporters, and we’re going to keep relying on you to help Democrats take back Congress and keep Republicans away from the White House.
