“Susanna has been here since April 3rd when she had emergency cancer surgery by the most amazing, inspiring and uplifting surgeon, Dr. Whitfield Growdon. The doctors, nurses and the entire staff at Mass General have been breathtakingly supportive, hardworking and dedicated,” they wrote.

They predicted a full recovery, writing, “We expect her to begin chemo by early May and her prognosis after a hugely successful surgery and treatment plan is excellent.”

Meanwhile her husband Jack, former President Bill Clinton’s White House attorney and a CNN legal analyst, is recovering at home from his March surgery.

Also on Facebook, Jack and Susanna talked about his surgery shortly before Susanna was diagnosed and sent into her own emergency surgery.

The duo have been part of the Washington scene for years and are major players in the city’s social, media, and political scene.
