Poll: Business leaders want Gates, 58% say Trump will lose reelection

They still believe that his business background made him a better chief executive, but business leaders now believe President Trump will lose reelection, and they want Microsoft chief Bill Gates to replace him, according to a new survey of investors.

In the latest Investing.com survey, 58% said that they do not believe Trump will win reelection, and they very much want a business leader to succeed him.

However, their choice is not former Starbucks chief Howard Schultz, the only businessman who has talked about running for president.

Instead, 30% want Gates to run, followed by Oprah Winfrey at 15% and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg at 10%. Schultz came in ninth at 2%.

“It seems then that Gates does indeed have a concrete vision for the president’s role, whether or not he changes his mind about throwing his hat in the ring,” the survey analysis shared with Secrets.

“Maybe Gates’ un-Trumpian low public profile is attractive to Americans as a stark contrast in the age of the outspoken former Apprentice host, or perhaps he has a ‘forbidden fruit’ quality given his stated intent not to run,” it added.

As expected, business leaders believe a business background is good for politics and needed in the White House.

That’s why a majority believe Trump’s background has been good for the nation.

They also give him good marks for improving the economy.

But over half feel he has failed as president.
