Clinton to capitalize on Sandy Hook killings to win Connecticut

Hillary Rodham Clinton is already mapping her strategy to win Connecticut next week with a Thursday gun control event that will feature families of the victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

“On Thursday, April 21, Hillary Clinton will campaign in Hartford, Connecticut. Clinton will hold a discussion with family members of gun violence victims about her commitment to enact commonsense gun safety measures as president. Participants will include family of victims of the Sandy Hook shooting, as well as family of victims of gun violence in Connecticut cities,” said the campaign.

Clinton has proposed sweeping gun control plans, and in the past endorsed high taxes and even a gun ban.

By tapping the Sandy Hook shootings for political gain, she will be stepping up her war with the National Rifle Association which is planning an intense campaign against Clinton.
