Mike Pence: ‘We’re going back to work. We’re going back to worship’

Vice President Mike Pence, the administration’s leading edge on many of the big issues this year, is cutting a path for President Trump’s effort to bring back the U.S. economy and open the country in the post-coronavirus era.

Already the star of the “Faith in America” tour, he has also headlined the “Great American Comeback Tour,” which is airing ads cheering the effort and Pence’s two stops to promote it.

In a new ad starting tomorrow, a $4 million broadcast and cable campaign, America First Policies will highlight Pence’s efforts and the reviving economy.

The 30-second spot features the vice president, who says, “We’re going back to work. We’re going back to worship, and I promise you in the days ahead we’re going to continue to create a solid foundation for whatever challenges may lie ahead. And we’re going to do it in a way that puts America back to work. The great American comeback has begun.”

The nonprofit organization promotes the president’s “America First” agenda that is getting a second rollout for the 2020 campaign as the nation recovers from the virus crisis.

The White House and Trump-Pence campaign believe that since the administration was able to push the economy and employment to new highs before the virus, voters are already willing to accept that it can do it again.

The campaign also tackles Joe Biden’s bid to push his own pro-America economic plan.

America First Policies, which educates Americans on the Trump agenda, has done similar previous tours, including one promoting the Trump tax cuts and last year’s effort to tell about the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade pact.

The current agenda includes informing voters about the administration’s trade agenda, regulatory reform that is increasing jobs, building infrastructure, providing job training and apprenticeships, such as those promoted today by Ivanka Trump and Apple CEO Tim Cook, targeting China with the goal of returning manufacturing back to America, and calling for a payroll tax cut.

In June, during one of his two Great American Comeback Tour stops, Pence laid out the plan that is linked to the reelection and Biden’s bid to chip away at the president’s economic reputation sullied by the coronavirus.

He said, “I’m proud to report to you that after all we’ve been through, because of the sacrifices the American people made, the incredible dedication of our healthcare workers, because the American businesses stepped up, every state in this country is now opened up again.”

He added, “We’re building and rebuilding this economy on a strong foundation of what we were able to do during the first three years of this administration.”
