Scott Adams, the Dilbert creator whose career was upended over “woke” censorship, plans to publish a new book on brain power that was shelved during the controversy from earlier this year.
In a short video posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, and his Locals page “Coffee With Scott Adams,” the social commentator said he is in the final phases of getting the book published by mid-September.
THE FOUR DEMOCRATS WHO COULD ATTEMPT TO UNSEAT BIDEN IN 2024 ELECTION
Titled Reframe Your Brain: The User Interface for Happiness and Success, it looks at his path to replacing bad habits with good ones and seeing the world in a different way. It’s a topic he touches on in his daily “Coffee With Scott Adams.”

In the post announcing the book, he threw a copy down on a table and said, “Well, this one’s not for resale, and you can’t buy it yet, but I’ll be looking at any typos in here and real soon, real soon.”
On his show from last night, he added that the book features 168 “reframes.”
In his write-up for online pre-sales, Adams explained, “If you’ve been stuck in the mind frame that any real change in life is too big and daunting, Adams will help you reframe that way of thinking to instead look for the smallest thing you can do that moves you in the right direction. With infinite varieties of reframes at hand, you can start, one small step at a time, to live the life you always wanted.”
It’s the latest of a handful of books he has written about the thought process, a key feature handled humorously in his Dilbert cartoons.
Back in February, Portfolio, a Penguin Random House imprint, pulled out of publishing Reframe Your Brain after Adams was caught up in a controversy that critics called a “racist rant” over a Rasmussen Reports survey that said while most black people agree that “It’s OK to be white,” not all do.
As a result, Adams advised white people to “get the hell away from black people.” In the controversy that followed, most outlets that ran Dilbert pulled it, and Portfolio shelved his book.
Adams explained that he was offering advice to avoid a “hate group.” He said in a tweet, “I make two main points: 1. Treat everyone as an individual (no discrimination). 2. Avoid any group that doesn’t respect you.” He added, “Does anyone think that is bad advice?”

My publisher for non-Dilbert books has canceled my upcoming book and the entire backlist. Still no disagreement about my point of view. My book agent canceled me too.

But with the “woke” agenda red hot earlier this year, he was savaged in the media as a “racist.”
Amazon’s Canada site and Walmart show Portfolio as the publisher of the book, though the company’s spokeswoman didn’t return a request for confirmation.
