Trump’s reelection campaign took ‘massive hit’ funding 2018 Republicans

President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign took a “massive hit” helping Republicans keep control of the Senate, according to a new fundraising email.

“Our accounts took a MASSIVE hit,” said the joint Republican Party and Trump-Pence campaign email.

It explained that the money went to help Republicans campaigning for Senate and to recount efforts, likely in Florida and Georgia.

What’s more, it said that the reelection campaign shifted money to the GOP races.

“I even transferred millions from my re-election campaign to protect our Senate majority,” said the email that offered to triple donations.

Trump has already raised over $100 million for his reelection, an unprecedented amount at this stage of a campaign, and there are no indications that the money will dry up, especially as up to 20 Democrats line up to challenge him.

His campaign is just beginning to organize for the 2020 race, and the president is expected to break fundraising records, continuing a pattern for presidential candidates.
