Mainstream Scream: Will & Grace star sobs over ‘greatest prez’ Obama

The tears have started to flow over the exit of President Obama.

Exhibit A is Will & Grace actress Megan Mullally, our weekly Mainstream Media Scream star. Appearing on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she recalled meeting Obama and first lady Michelle Obama at a White House Christmas party last week with her hubby Nick Offerman.

She described sobbing over Obama and begged him to stay. His response was a bit surprising, telling her, “we’re not going anywhere.”

From her appearance:

I said, ‘Listen, I really love you and we don’t want you to go.’

He gave me a hug and he said ‘We’re not going anywhere.’

And he walked out the door and, I mean, I’m not talking about a cute, single tear, I mean, burst into wrenching sobs, doubled over. Nick had to get out his handkerchief and sort of block me from view because I was embarrassing myself. But, you know, I mean, that’s the greatest president and first lady in any of our lifetimes.”

Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains the pick: “The definition of a vacuous Hollywood star, blithely unaware of how her sycophantic gushing should be embarrassing. She’s 58 years old, yet sounds like a ‘tween meeting the leader of a boy band.”

Rating:
Five out of five screams.
