First lady Michelle Obama’s 51st birthday is this week, and has it’s own jingle, but not the traditional “Happy Birthday.”
No, it sounds more like “cha-ching,” as in the cash register ringing up a new sale.
That’s because the Democratic Party is using her 51st birthday to raise money.
The email from DNC Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz opens this way:
And I bet that you think the First Lady is pretty great — so I wanted to make sure you got the chance to sign your name to her birthday card:
Thanks, — she’s going to love this.
Click the link to sign the card, and you get directed to a donor page seeking contributions up to $2,000.
Thanks for signing our card for Michelle! Now, can you take the next step and support Democrats?
