How loyal are many of President Trump’s supporters?
Just consider the results from a Public Policy Polling question to those who voted for Trump. In a release, it said, “Trump’s right about one thing though — he could shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue and not lose most of his support.”
The question:
“If Donald Trump shot someone on 5th Avenue, would you approve or disapprove of the job he’s doing as president?”
- 45 percent approve.
- 29 percent disapprove.
- 26 percent aren’t sure.
Among all voters, the results were different, of course, though a third wouldn’t turn against Trump.
- 22 percent would still approve of Trump.
- 62 percent would not.
- 16 percent are not sure.
