Voters want Biden to take cognitive test

With a majority of likely voters believing President Joe Biden is “incompetent,” a sizable majority want him to undergo a cognitive test and release the results to the public.

In a new McLaughlin & Associates survey shared with Secrets, 59% said they want the president to take the test and release the results. Just 33% said no.

The poll was released as Biden, who turns 79 tomorrow, was set for his first physical as president at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Friday. It is unclear if he will take a cognitive test.

Former President Donald Trump famously took the test and released the results to quiet critics who believed he was in over his head — as a majority now feel about Biden.

The new survey also said that more voters feel Biden is incompetent by a margin of 52% to 43%. And 59% are now worried about the future of the country.

However, their concerns about the president are not good news for Vice President Kamala Harris, who will briefly act as president Friday as Biden undergoes his colonoscopy.

McLaughlin said 55% of voters view her unfavorably compared to 40% who view her favorably.
