Michelle O: I’ve been campaigning for two years

It doesn’t just seem like President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have been campaigning for years. The first lady conceded Thursday that they have been seeking reelection that long.

At an event at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, Colorado, she said, “One of the things that campaigning over this last year and a half or so, two years, has been — we’ve been doing this for a while. But one of the things I love most about campaigning, in addition to coming out and talking to our supporters and citizens all over the country, is I get to talk about the man that I have loved and admired since the first day I met him 23 years ago.”

Showing how the campaign is wearing on her, she also admitted that campaigning so long is tiring. “It’s Thursday, right? I’m having a little trouble keeping up with days of the week. They’re all just sort of–but it’s Thursday, 26 more days until we get this done,” she said.

It’s apparently hard for the White House to keep up too. On Tuesday, she appeared at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds in Leesburg, Virginia. But the White House listed the location as Sterling, Virginia about 15 miles away. That is a slap to some in the county because the event was held in the Republican side of Loudoun and Sterling is considered the Democratic side.
