With no movement in the Republican primary race and former President Donald Trump continuing to dominate the polls, conservative firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said today that the race is already over.
“The primary, in many people’s minds, is over. No, there’s no alternative. And I think the American people see it that way,” the congresswoman said in a media call to promote her upcoming autobiography, MTG.

Greene has been one of Trump’s top supporters, often appearing as a warmup act at rallies. There has been talk that the former president is considering her as his running mate.
In one of the chapters of her book, provided by Winning Team Publishing, Greene criticized President Joe Biden’s policies and said that he would make the country worse in a second term.

“If we put President Trump back in office we could fix everything,” she wrote. “We could clean house and drain the swamp that frustrates so many Americans,” she added in the book due for release just before Thanksgiving.
But that also requires holding the House and gaining control of the Senate. “To do that, we must motivate the Republican base,” she said. “Do you want to stop the left’s abuse of power? Vote!” she added.
The publishing company, founded by GOP adviser Sergio Gor and Donald Trump Jr., also dished a handful of other chapters in which Greene detailed her Jan. 6 experience, pushed for the erasing of Trump’s impeachments, and called for a more businesslike approach to problems facing the nation.
“Marjorie is one of the strongest voices for the America First movement in Congress. Since arriving in Washington, she’s made a splash like few others. We are thrilled to be publishing her book next month,” Trump Jr. said.
On the call, she teased other topics in the book, including her poor view of liberal Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
“She’s not smart,” MTG said of AOC.
“I’ve talked with her multiple times. I’ve asked her to debate me. She’s afraid of me, is clearly, clearly not competent or capable of debating me with her policies and views on climate change and the Green New Deal, which I think is pretty pathetic, as members of Congress are supposed to debate ideas,” Greene said.

She added that those behind the Green New Deal are using Ocasio-Cortez in a “scam” to make money and expand their power.
“It’s all basically a scam. And it’s just a means for power and control. And so I really enjoyed writing a chapter about the Green New Deal that features her as what I would say as a pawn for groups that are really interested in climate change because it’s a big money scam,” she told the call.
