It’s been a pretty good week so far for radio host Chris Plante.
Not only did he launch his Newsmax show, The Right Squad, on Monday night, but he also won a so-called conservative Pulitzer on Tuesday for his brash takedown of liberals on his nationally syndicated radio show based out of Washington’s WMAL.
ALMOST NO CONFIDENCE IN BIDEN AS ECONOMIC LEADER: GALLUP
He joins several others from right-leaning outlets in winning the Media Research Center’s second annual Bulldog Awards. The list was provided to Secrets on Tuesday, a day after the Pulitzers were awarded to mostly left-leaning outlets, including the New York Times and Washington Post.
“The Bulldog Award winners are trusted truth-tellers, unlike left-wing operatives who win Pulitzers. These are courageous individuals dedicated to informing Americans about stories the leftist media ignore. Congratulations to all!” Media Research Center founder and President L. Brent Bozell III said.
MRC, which on Wednesday plans to reveal its Bulldog lifetime achievement award winner, announced its first Bulldog winners last year. They were Mark Levin, Dan Bongino, Miranda Devine, Luke Rosiak, Stephen Gutowski, and Drew Holden.
This year’s winners are Plante, Matt Walsh, Mary Margaret Olohan, Karol Markowicz, Chaya Raichik, and Andrew Kerr.
Here’s what they won for and why, according to MRC’s release:
Matt Walsh: 2023 MRC Bulldog Award for Outstanding Podcast
As the host of the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh Show, which is one of America’s most popular podcasts, he has become known for his views against the Left’s transgender ideology. His documentary, What Is A Woman?, was a significant milestone that exposed the dangers and inconsistencies of the Left’s gender politics. In addition to Walsh’s commentary, he is the author of the bestselling children’s book Johnny the Walrus.
Chris Plante: 2023 MRC Bulldog Award for Outstanding Radio Talk Show Host
As host of the Chris Plante Show, Chris Plante brings his unique style, charisma, and sense of humor to a nationwide audience each day, poking fun at left-wing politicians and media figures. Plante deftly deploys sound bites from the news to cue up insightful and humorous retorts and is one of the few to understand the media’s power to ignore. Plante’s fearless take on the Left, both in and out of the media, has made him a favorite among conservatives everywhere.
Mary Margaret Olohan: 2023 MRC Bulldog Award for Outstanding Blogger
Mary Margaret Olohan is a pro-life reporter at the Daily Signal, focusing on topics tied to the Catholic Church, life, safeguarding children, and upholding the idea that men are men and women are women. Olohan has tracked acts of violence toward crisis pregnancy centers and updated the public on crimes ignored by the leftist media. She also wrote on Mark Houck, a pro-life Catholic who was a target of the Justice Department and was later acquitted of alleged assault outside an abortion clinic in Philadelphia.
Karol Markowicz: 2023 MRC Bulldog Award for Outstanding Columnist
As a New York Post and FoxNews.com columnist, a contributing writer to the Washington Examiner magazine, and a contributor to the Spectator, Markowicz has doggedly chronicled the effects of the COVID-19 lockdowns and their related mandates. She has also written about the ways in which wokeness has affected politics, healthcare, and culture, speaking truth to issues the leftist media refuse to cover. Markowicz has recently written a book with Bethany Mandel, Stolen Youth: How Radicals Are Erasing Innocence and Indoctrinating a Generation.
Chaya Raichik: 2023 MRC Bulldog Award for Outstanding Social Media Personality
Known for her account Libs of TikTok, the Left has targeted Chaya Raichik for exposing the agenda of left-wing educators. The brilliance of her citizen-journalism is in the way she features the footage published by far-left activists. When Taylor Lorenz and the Washington Post tried to expose her personal information and put her in harm’s way, Raichik courageously continued her work exposing activist teachers and fueling the parents’ rights movement.

Andrew Kerr: 2023 MRC Bulldog Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism
Andrew Kerr has become a must-read journalist through his investigative reporting on Hunter Biden, COVID-19, and Black Lives Matter. He’s had impressive scoops on topics the leftist media refused to touch, including investigations at the Daily Caller and the Washington Free Beacon into Anthony Fauci’s support for gain-of-function research and the COVID lab leak “theory.”
Kerr’s ground-breaking investigation at the Washington Examiner into the fundraising of Black Lives Matter exposed how top leaders enriched themselves with millions of dollars. Therefore, the group was forced to close its fundraising arm until Clinton-linked advisers took over. He also revealed that President Joe Biden knew about his son Hunter’s Chinese business dealings and helped fund his sexual exploits.
