Hillary Clinton condemns Trump and demands ‘impeachment’

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton, reacting to the release of the Trump-Ukraine call transcript, is demanding the impeachment of President Trump.

“The president of the United States has betrayed our country,” she tweeted 15 minutes after the transcript was released.

“That’s not a political statement—it’s a harsh reality, and we must act. He is a clear and present danger to the things that keep us strong and free. I support impeachment,” said Clinton, the wife of the last president to be impeached.

Clinton, who remains bitter about her loss to Trump in the 2016 presidential election, has recently stepped up her attacks on Trump and been on a listening tour similar to those she conducted in advance of her New York Senate and presidential campaigns.

She joins congressional Democratic leaders in pushing for impeachment, though it is unclear what, if any, laws Trump has violated in his relations with Ukraine and the July 25 call to Ukraine’s president during which he sought an investigation of former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
