Public to Biden: Get OK before shipping migrants to towns

The bumbling Biden border policy is drawing fire from people who want illegal immigrants to be tested for COVID-19 before entering the United States and demand that the administration get local approval before dumping them in their backyards.

In a survey for the National Sheriffs’ Association, which has been critical of the planning to handle the new surge in illegal immigrants, people said they want the laws governing immigration enforced, a rejection of the revived Obama-era “catch and release” policy.

They also want migrants tested for the coronavirus and to undergo DNA tests that would prove their claims of having relatives in the U.S.

And with the administration already releasing thousands of illegal immigrants in the U.S., taken to states from Florida to Michigan, the poll done by Tipp Insights found that 79% of respondents want President Joe Biden’s team to get local approval before shipping migrants to their towns.

“Almost eight out of ten people believe it is also critical that authorities inform and obtain the approval of elected community leaders before relocating migrants from the border to communities across the country. One-half think it is very important, while 29 percent believe it is somewhat important,” the analysis said.

Those surveyed also want people affected by the coronavirus to get economic help first. Some 78% said Americans should be the priority for funding.

The survey was released by Sheriff Mark Dannels of Cochise County, Arizona. He is also the chairman of the National Sheriffs’ Association Border Security Committee.

“Americans favor stricter measures at the border. Now the question is, will the government listen to their opinion and implement policies that garner the country’s support,” he said in his analysis.

Secrets recently interviewed the sheriff, and he called the surge a disaster caused by Biden and his messaging that the border is open for crossers.

“You look at disasters and lessons in this country, it’s usually politics who screwed it up. And in this case, it happened again,” Dannels told Secrets.
