Even more than President Trump, Dr. Anthony Fauci has become “the face” of the government’s response to the coronavirus crisis, and people in the United States think that’s just great.
The proof: A new survey of likely voters provided to Secrets shows that the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984 has the highest approval ratings of any figure in the virus trenches, including Trump.
The latest Zogby Analytics survey said that Fauci has a 70% approval rating. By comparison, Trump’s is 49%, and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is at 66%, said pollster Jonathan Zogby.
“Fauci of the National Institutes of Infectious Diseases and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) received majority positive ratings (73% and 70%, respectively, excellent and positive combined) from an overwhelming majority of surveyed voters,” he said in his poll analysis. “Cuomo received the highest rating (63% positive/37% negative) among politicians while Surgeon General Jerome Adams (58% positive/43% negative), and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (55% positive/45% negative) followed closely behind. No other politician surveyed received a majority positive rating from respondents.”

His survey also looked at the virus approval rating of the House and Senate, and it was better than normal. For the Senate, it was 41% positive, 59% negative, and for the House, it was 43% positive and 57% negative.
Zogby’s bottom line:
