No matter what happens to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, a whole lot of people are going to be angry and frustrated.
According to a poll released Monday morning, near equal numbers of Republicans and Democrats will be hot and bothered when the Senate finally votes on the judge, likely no sooner than a week from now.
CBS reported from its poll today:
Looking ahead, 46 percent of Republicans say they’ll feel angry if Kavanaugh’s is not eventually confirmed, and another 39 percent say they’ll be disappointed. Democrats match those sentiments in reverse: 47 percent of Democrats will be angry if Kavanaugh is seated, and another 36 percent will be disappointed.

That finding comes after other polls show that the nation is divided politically over the nomination of the federal appeals judge who has denied accusations of sexual assault in high school and college.
Those polls show that the political division is much deeper than the divide between men and women on the judge.
What’s more, another poll found that last week’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that pitted Kavanaugh and his accuser did very little to change the minds of voters.
