Stephen Miller: ‘World in chaos’ as Team Biden ‘jokes’

Former Trump aide Stephen Miller over the past two days led an effort to brush aside Democratic chest-thumping and White House cheering over the $720 billion Senate spend-a-thon victory to warn of the “chaos” of President Joe Biden’s agenda, especially on the border.

In a series of tweets he continued into Monday, Miller challenged White House officials and the pro-Biden media to address the issues he believes the GOP should build a fall election agenda around.

“Border open. Record drug deaths. Crime engulfing cities. Inflation ravaging households. Over *3 million* jobs short of pre-pandemic baseline. Woke ideology poisoning schools, corporations, culture. World in chaos. And we’re now in a recession. So what did Sen Dems & Biden do?” he tweeted.

“They voted for a massive middle class tax hike & they unanimously REJECTED amendments to secure the border, lower violent crime, curb inflation, reduce gas prices, reclaim energy independence & restore the definition of biological sex. This bill isn’t a win; it’s an atrocity,” he said.

Trump allies and the National Border Patrol Union also joined in but were met by dismissive comments from a Biden press aide and media.

Among them was White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates, who tweeted to Miller, “Says an overwrought apologist for the most anti-law and order administration in U.S. history, which failed to get Mexico to pay for their wall. @POTUS got Mexico to pay for 21st Century border security, and wants more funding for the COPS program Trump wanted to cut. Sorry, kid.”

And one reporter tweeted of Biden’s spending win in the Senate after Vice President Kamala Harris broke a tie, “An undeniable, massive win for Democrats and President Biden.”

The Miller-Bates dust-up drew in others, such as the border union, which tweeted, “The insanity of the Biden Admin on full display. A completely out-of-control border with millions pouring in via fraudulent ‘asylum’ claims, up to 240 miles of border with no patrols because agents are tied up processing fraudulent claims … is now ‘21st century border security.’”

And Donald Trump Jr. picked up on another Bates tweet, which the first son said included a Nazi meme that the press would have savaged Trump over had one of his press aides used it.

Bates rejected the criticism in his own tweet in the very public online tiff.
