Left for dead on the political sidewalk after battling home-state scandals, former Missouri Republican Gov. Eric Greitens is back under the klieg lights, cleared of wrongdoing, and hosting a new hourlong TV news show.
“At the end of the day, I’ve made it through,” Greitens told us.
Greitens stepped down in 2018 amid allegations of wrongdoing he was later cleared of and is now planning to use his experiences in life, office, and as a Navy SEAL for his show Actionable Intelligence on the growing Real America’s Voice network that is teamed up with journalist John Solomon’s Just The News.
He said the show will feature a newsmaker interview on a specific subject, then a “real American” affected by that topic. He also hopes for a daily author interview.
The goal, he said, is to point out how the government is often unaware of its affect on regular people. “So many politicians are truly out of touch on the impact of their decisions,” he said.
But instead of whining, he is eager to provide a path to fixing problems with the help of citizens.
“A lot of people deal with hardship. A lot of people deal with unfairness. A lot of people are lied about and attacked,” he said, adding, “I hope we’ll set an example that when these things happen, you just keep putting one foot in front of the other.”
