Buzz: Schlappdown podcast goes live, YAF targets lefty professors, M1A1 to Reagan Library

The Republican power couple of Matt Schlapp, head of the American Conservative Union and the Conservative Political Action Conference, and his wife Mercedes, a former top Trump White House official, are teaming for a podcast.

Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, they will host their Schlappdown, CPAC Now: America Uncanceled.

  • Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank is taking a leave of absence to write a book about the GOP. To nobody’s surprise, it won’t be a positive book. He told Facebook friends it will be about “the Republican Party crackup over the last 25 years.” …
  • The Young America’s Foundation has launched a “Campus Bias Tip Line” to help conservative students navigate college life. Spokesman Spencer Brown told us it will keep an eye on “leftist” professors, help students find a welcoming campus, and even help students fight “indoctrination” tactics. “Schools will not be let off the hook for abusing their powers as educators,” he said. …
  • The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, California, has added a new member to its “Peace through Strength” exhibit. Joining a Navy F-14 Tomcat and Air Force F-117 stealth aircraft is an Army M1A1 Abrams tank donated by General Dynamics and the U.S. Army. …
