Media mogul Mark Levin is the voice of America’s constitutional conservatives, and he is issuing his most searing warning yet that the nation is at a crossroads, and will either cave into a century of progressive giveaways, or take charge by “rediscovering Americanism.”
In his fifth book on the uniqueness of the nation, the New York Times bestselling author cuts to the chase when he urges Americans to stop denying the “decaying societal conditions” around them and to take back their natural rights.
“We have no choice,” he said.
Rediscovering Americanism and the Tyranny of Progressivism is the radio and online TV personality’s first book in the Trump era, but the Republican in the White House doesn’t get in the way of his long-time warning about the march of progressive government and its whittling away of individual and states’ rights.
In the book, Levin attacks the embrace by the media, politicians and academia of progressive promises of a “utopia” defined by the end of personal freedom and individuality.
He has a grim name for it: “The Final Outcome.” Levin wrote, “They reject history’s lessons and instead are absorbed with their own conceit and aggrandizement in the relentless pursuit of a diabolical project, the final outcome of which is an oppression of mind and soul.”
Levin added, “the equality they envision but dare not honestly proclaim, is life on the hamster wheel, where one individual is indistinguishable from the next.”
It follows in the path of his other books: Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto; Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America; The Liberty Amendments; and Plunder and Deceit.
And the pre-publication sales acknowledge Levin’s star status resulting from his syndicated radio show, his new LevinTV streamed online and his online magazine Conservative Review. On Amazon, Rediscovering Americanism is currently No. 2 — and it won’t even be released until Tuesday.
We asked him for some thoughts as the book debuts, and Levin said, “My new book covers a lot of territory — philosophy, history, economics, law, culture, etc. And I look deeply into what is meant by Americanism, republicanism, individualism, capitalism. What do we mean by natural law, unalienable rights, liberty, and property rights? From where do these principles come? Why are they important?”
“Conversely, what are the ideological forces arrayed against these human and American imperatives, from where do they come, and how do they endanger us as a free and prosperous people? What motivates its advocates? And what is meant by progressivism, historicism, scientism, Marxism, etc.?”

He concludes, “Knowledge is the key to restoring our republic, which is the purpose of Rediscovering Americanism and the Tyranny of Progressivism.”
Will it work? He answered that on page three: “I am well aware that this book will not change the course of history. But if it can open a few eyes it will have served its purpose.”
