The promised “border wall cam” to show off the construction of President Trump’s wall has finally debuted and shows, in rapid fashion, panel after panel falling in place along the El Centro border sector in Southern California.
“Looking for the latest updates about the border wall system? Check out our new webpage, which gives a first-hand look at construction of the border wall system and its impact on our national security,” tweeted U.S. Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott.
Secrets earlier said this week that the system, called for by top Trump aide Jared Kushner, was set to go live this week on the homepage of U.S. Customs and Border Protection as the agency crossed 164 miles of new wall.
The package on the page is more than promised. It includes an edited loop of the construction, the latest facts and figures about the $15 billion wall project, and an updated interactive map of the activities.

“People will see that President Trump is coming through on his promises,” said a top aide.
Another added, “This shows 164 miles of promises kept.”
The view is not actually live because officials wanted to block proprietary information, technology, and techniques, especially of contractors. Also at issue was the safety of border agents.
As a result, what people will see is a video with the concerning shots edited out. It will also be video of construction taken during daylight hours.
It will be on a loop showing the last 30 days of construction from various sections of the wall.
