White House: Democrats ‘blew it’

A giddy White House dismissed two Democratic House hearings on the Mueller report, claiming that both chairmen “blew it.”

Even before special counsel Robert Mueller wrapped up his testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, a senior administration official cheered the lack of anything new uncovered by Chairman Adam Schiff or earlier by Rep. Jerry Nader of the House Judiciary Committee.

“I don’t think it can be interpreted any other way than an absolutely blown hearing by the Democrats,” the official told Secrets.

“Both Jerry Nader and Adam Schiff just really blew it. They got nothing out of this except to really confirm, one, that the president and his campaign and no one associated with his campaign conspired with Russia…and he did not make any conclusions about the crime of obstruction,” added the official.

Throughout the day, officials traded emails about what news and political commentators were saying about the hearing. Negative comments from Democratic experts like former Obama adviser David Axelrod and TV’s Chuck Todd were highlighted.

Associates also mined the media, noting that NPR, for example, featured analysts who said that there was little help for liberals seeking impeachment.
