Joining a long list of “fake news” warnings that Washington was going to come to a standstill under President Trump, expectations and polls that over a quarter of the federal workforce would quit in protest to the Republican have evaporated.
What’s more, according to federal workforce statistics, retirement requests are the lowest in three years.

The Office of Personnel Management said that 15,317 federal workers sought to retire in January.
For comparison, according to Federal News Radio, that is 3,300 fewer than 2015 and 100 fewer than last year.
A Government Business Council/ GovExec.com survey last year found that 27 percent of the federal workforce planned to retire at the end of last year if Trump won in what some dubbed a “retirement tsunami.”
By comparison, only 16 percent said they’d leave if Hillary Rodham Clinton became president, according to a review of the poll by HotAir.com.
